The mind that grasps, too, is not located anywhere externally or internally and does not exist concretely with a colour or shape. From the continuity of ego-clinging, which mistakes that which isn’t (i.e. a self) for something which is, comes the eight consciousnesses, which are like sky-flowers, empty from the beginning.
