An individual’s belief is something that rests deep inside our hearts and is private. Once we embrace a belief we have to practice whole-heartedly without harming others. Though we may consider revering a variety of religious objects to be among our most important beliefs, in order to fully realise the ultimate truth, one has to practice by listening, contemplating, and most importantly, by following the wise and profound advice of qualified teachers. Moreover, time after time we have seen religious monuments destroyed, yet individuals' beliefs have remained somehow intact. History tells us that is only the individual person, and no one else, who can eliminate his or her own beliefs. Therefore, in my opinion, in order to preserve one’s religion, one should follow the teachings without any self-interest and free of wrong interpretations, because these will only harm our own beliefs.
