These elemental things – fire and water, earth and wind – cannot exist in themselves, for they are compounded of smaller things, subatomic parts (p'a-ra-rab dul), and so even the most minute particle can be divided six ways. Thus 'smallest part' cannot exist, and likewise every substance can never permanent be and threefold its destruction is.
