I'm like a fallen leaf on the surface of the water,

flowing forward, flowing away.

Suddenly stopping, suddenly spinning.

Sometimes waves arise, submerging it.

Sometimes it is calm, but still it flows on.

Why is it like that?

Not only does the fallen leaf not understand,

the one like the fallen leaf does not understand.

Some insights are realised in the moment,

some upon hindsight.

Everything about me changes within limitlessly complex

causes and conditions.

Causes and conditions are that real,

yet that unfathomable!
