A real aspiration for freedom will not arise without effort to reflect on the faults of true suffering. Unless you consider its source, the stages of involvement in cyclic existence, you won’t know how to sever its root. So cultivate aversion to it and a wish for freedom and cherish the knowledge of what binds you to this cycle.
