Living beings proceed from conditions; nor is it the case that the cause (kārana) of all the world is a single Īśvara, Puruṣa or Pradhāna [i.e., God]. What is the reason (hetu) for this? If you think it is established upon the provision of a reason (hetu), this is a refusal of the statement, the cause (kārana) of all is a single Īśvara.
